Retreat at
Cape Island CAPE MAY - Leon Trusty from the New Jersey Department of Education, who recently conducted an eight-week seminar at the Lower Township School District on Parent Effectiveness Training, will present a three-day community retreat at the Cape Island Baptist Church on Christian Effectiveness Training The retreat is scheduled for the weekend of Feb. 3 to 5. Friday’s introductory session will be a three-hour session beginning at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday’s session will be 2 - 8 p.m. with time out for a roast beef dinner. Sunday’s three-hour closing session will follow a, served lunch at 12:30. The retreat is open to the first 100 registrants. Interested people may contact Rev. Forrest Spriggs, Cape Island Baptist Church, Columbia and Guerney Streets, Cape May. Registration fee including meals and materials is $5. New Series Will Begin GREEN CREEft - Pastor Joseph Muggleworth of the Community Church, Delsea Drive, will begin his winter preaching series, entitled “The Need For Maturity”, a series of messages dealing with the victorious life and an examination of Christian, ethics and conduct. He will be speaking at the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service on the theme “Living Longer and Better”.
