THE BLAHS. They seem to go hand and hand with midJanuary. Everybody talks about them, but a lot of people also manage to do something about ’em. Night courses is one way. Other people get out their hobbies and give them a good working over. There’s always plenty of good reading at the library that helps to dispell the blahs. Give it a try. “Man constantly evolves new instruments of power and increases his tempo of living. But earth is infinitely patient, and the cycling seasons follow their appointed rounds with unhurried regularity. Man gropes toward the ultimate sourcesof power and learns to speed himself and his products around theplanet.’Nature ordains the time of sowing and th% time of reaping. In each cycle of time while Earth follows "her course aroundjhe sun, there is a period of rest."* , . . - HAYDN S. PEARSON f- • « • Everyday is somebody’s birthday. Tomorrow is the birthday of Charles Perrault, born in 1728. For hundreds of years people told fairy tales but nobody wrote them down. The French writer Perrault was one of the first to put them in a book. He picked such good stories and he told them so well that his tales have become favorites everywhere, among them 'Cinderella, ’ "Puss in Boots ’ and Little Red Riding Hood ' Remember those good stories? We hope you never run out of projects or of good thoughts this month. Those of us who live in Cape May county also never run out of good places where we can go out and eat.
