COURT HOUSE - Because of the interest shown at the recent dedication of its new wing; Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital will host tours of the' facility, Joanne Oxley, BTMH public relations director, announced last week.

Volunteers will conduct the tours at 2 pYn. and 7 p.m. today through Sunday, she said. Reservations are not-reijuired. Those interested should simply assemble at the main entrance tp the new building prior to the scheduled times, Oxley noted.

AVAIDN — Five Avalon teams took part jn a Volleyball MWathon for * the benefit of Deborah Heart and Lung HospitaL The teams played a round robin tournament from noon until 8 p.m The' five teams involved were: the Avalon Rescue ‘ Squad, the Avalon Fire Department. BJ's Sandwich Shop, Gilbert Sykes Builders and Keen's Plumbing. Keen's Plumbing finished the night undefeated with an 8-0 record for first place. Team players were: Bud Kerr, Bob Eldon, Mike McLaughlin, Mark Lawler, Terry Brown and Howie Hosthis. Jhe Avalon Rescue Squad and Fire Department tied for second place. The .event generated $271 in donations. Sponsors hope to hold the event again next year. .
