Breakwater Still Dominant at Nets

PAPE MAY - Dekelco served notice on tye Wrecking Crew that it was going to be e long night as it crushed the Crew 15-3 in the first game of the initial match-up in recent Recreational League action. Dekelco maintained its dominance over the Wrecking. Crew in game two as they compiled a 12-5 lead in the early going, withstood a comAack attempt behind the powerful spikes of Greg Orsimarsi and the outstanding digs of Gary Franco to win 15-12. In the final game Dekelco gained a comfortable *6-1 lead. Wrecking Crew came within one

point at 54 before Dekelco rallied to regain the lead at 12-6. The crew buckled down again and came back to within one point of Dekelco at 11-12. The excellent blocking of Defcelco's Richard Hawley prevented the Wrecking Crew from regaining service again as Dekelco served out the game and won 15-11. BREAKWATER Electric maintained its dominance over the league as it took on an under-manned Eckel’s Diesel team. Breakwater moved out' to a commanding 9-0 lead over Eckel's in game one. Eckel's finally broke the ice as it scored

on two well placed spikes from Dave Barikian. Breakwater then regained service and widened the lead to 13-2. Eckel’tf managed three more meaningless - points as it went down to defeat 15-5. In the second game Breakwater again jumped ahead of Eckel’s at 10-3. Eckel's rebounded behind the spectacular saves of -Chuck Howard to pull within three points at 7rl0. However. Gerry Griffin's well placed serves kept Eckel's defense off balance for the remainder of the game and Breakwater won again, 15-11. Breakwater completed the sweep in

game three as it downed Eckel’s 15-10. Keen Plumbing and^ Heating took no mercy on the' slumping U.-S.C.G. Groupies in the final match . as it swept the Groupaes in a night of sweeps. In game one Keen's allowed the Groupies only one point the entire game as John McVey's powerful spikes and blocks at the net proved too much - for the

Groupies.
