The first, period sa^' Dellas take a 2-0 -lead as Jim Cavanaugh and John “Shaky" Walters scored a goal apiece. C-View’s Kurt Hughes brought his team to within one point of Dellas as he scored at the 6:05 mark of the second period. In the third period Dellas broke the game wide open as it went oq a scoring binge with Walters, Cavanaugh and Billy Mulligan combining for five goals as Dellas stomped C-View 7-2.' The second game pitted Keltic News against the Volunteer Firemen. The first period was nip and tuck as Keltie’s Arthur Mason and Firemen’s SUg Blomkvest scored to knot the score at J-l. In the second period Keltic's broke'put in front as Mark DeCatnillo and Charles Temple notched a goal apiece as Keltie’s went ahead 3-i. Firemen’s Stig Blomkvest brought his team to within one point of Keltie’s as he scored with only 50 seconds left in the period. CAPE MAY-- Kiwanis ’ remained in first place in Peewee Basketball after the second week of the* season as it downed a winless Hillhduse Greenery team 25-19. Kiwanis’ Mike Chelius led all scorers as he chipped in 16-points followed by Scott Holden's seven points. Kevin Freeman and Tom Johnson combined for 12 of Hillhouse’s 19 points as each scored six points. The second game pitted Casale’s against a much improved Model Cleaners team. Model jumped pff to a four-point lead (8-4) after the first quarter behind the scoring of Gary Frazier and Mike Millard, who had four points apiece. CAPE MAY - The City Coed Volleyball League is slated to begin Wednesday. March 7. The league will be restructured into two divisions this year to compensate for the wide range of talent that was evident last year. . .. For those players with many years of experience there will be the Power Division and for the inexperienced player there will be the Recreation Division. An organizational meeting wiL be conducted in Convention Hall 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16. The league fee must be paid before the league starting date.
