CAPE MAY - Last week's action featured first . place Lighting Dimensions against the Pdfter in men’s power volleyball. The Pot- - ter stormed out to a quick first game triumph behind the offensive talents of Stuart Cohen and Jim McKinley, and took the opener by a 15-9 margin as the Rillej-watts just couldn'bget on track. Game two saw Lighting Dimensions jump out to % quick 12-5 lead. However, the Potter refused to.give up and staged a fantastic 15-13 come from behind victory. Bud Bowman and Stu Cohen were instrumental in the successful comeback. Thermal two games went to the KillerwattSvby 15-13 and 15-11 scores. Roy Hartle and John Wilsey stood out with some nice offensive and defensive plays. With the two victories the Killerwatts became the first team in the league to win forty games on the' year. The Potter improved its record to 25-31 to remain in second place. The second match of the evening pitted Library III
against the Whipporwill Spikers. Game one proved to be the best game of the evening as the Spikers -were able to take a hard fought 18-16 win. Dave Gibboney and Bill Holt provided some key plays that helped turn the tide for Whipporwill, which con'tinued to play aggressively through game two and took a rather easy 15-6 victory. It’s tough to contain LibrAry’sAndy Butltr for an entire .evening. Butler look control in game three with his overpowering spikes to lead his team to.a 15-9 decision. Jerry Miller and Jack CastelJo helped make things happen with several digs in the back -court. The Spikers came back with an identical 15-9 victory in the finale to take the match 3-1 and push themselves past Libraryinto third place on the year.
