found themselves in a typical predicament — a beautiful home and no spendable cash or working capital. Now these people can put their hard-earned equity to work fqr them. Statewide, this equity is estimated to be approximately $80 billion The 'amoiint of a homeowners “EQUILINE” credit line i£based on a general formula calculating 75% of the appraised value of the home, less the amount of the remaining mortgage due, if any. For example, if a house is appraised at SIOO.OOO, 75% of the value if $75,000. By subtracting a $50,000 mortgage, the prospective “EQUILINE” customer would have a credit line of up to $25,000. That $25,000 would be available whenever the hemeowner needed it. Funds could be drawn for home improvements, investment opportunities, the purchase of a new car, college tuition, financial emergencies and any other needs that may arise.
