Lifeline, Medicare and transportation forms, will be at the Millman Center, Bayshbre Road, Villas, 9:30 a.m.-noon, Monday, Feb. 27. On Thursdays, tomorrow and Feb. 23, blood pressure testing will be conducted 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Wayside Village, M«rmora, and 1:30-3:30 p.m.. Upper Township Hall, Tuckahoe. Chapter Meeting The next monthly meeting of the American Business Women'Association, Oc/>an Charter Chapter, will be Thursday, Feb. 15,' at the Long port Inn. Guest speaker will be Robert Adams, CPA, who will talk on taxation. Mae Mack unis is president of the association. A fashion show is planned in April at the Create Bay Country Chib.
Legion Home on Route 50, Tuckahoe. John MacLeod, senior county agent, said that the event annually attracts a crowd of 250 farm and rural people. Leslie C. Rea, of West Cape May, President of the board, will serve as toastmaster for the dinner program. The chairman of the dinner committee is Harold H. Shaw of Marmora . Committee members include George W. Betts of Petersburg, Elizabeth E. Corson of Ocean View, Louis M. DiLuzio of Tuckahoe, rfnd Marshall Howey of Villas. SHAW SAID that the venison dinner is now in its 30th consecutive year and has become a tradition in
the county. The main purpose of the dinner is to hoppr an outstanding agricultural leader for his or her contributions to agriculture and rural life. The name of the award winner is kept secret until the night of the dinner. This year’s program will also feature awards to the outstanding county 4-H young man and women of the year for their achievements in' the 4-H youth program. Tickets may be obtained irom any member of the board of directors of the board of agriculture or by contacting George Betts, ticket coordinator, at 628-2415 during the day or 628-2266 at night.
School Has Candle Sale
ERMA -- The South Jersey Christian Academy is conducting a one-week candle sale Feb. 13-17, with the proceeds to be used for the purhcase of a computer to be used as a learning
tool.
Basketball games with Greentree Academy at South Jersey Christian will be held 3:30 p.m. today, Feb. 22, and Feb. 29. Three spelling bees are scheduled: one tomorrow, one for Home-School Night 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21, and with Greentree and Lighthouse Academies at the Mount St. Pleasant Church in Ocean Heights Feb. 23. The champion speller in the competition will go to the MASA Spelling Bee

RIO GRANDE - The Rio Grande Fire Co. compiled a record in 1983 of losing only $171,000 worth of pro"perty of $6,023,000 worth involved in fires. It saved all but $35,000 worth of building contents out of $783,500 involved. During the year, according to the annual report of Chief Ralph J. Porch, the fire company responded to 80 fire calls and held 30 drills. Most numerous were vehicle fires and grass, brush or woods fires, with 17 calls for each category. The company was called, to eight dwelling fires, six commercial building firetf,. and two mobile home fires. The company had four calls for the Jaws of Life, which were used on three occasions. The firemen put in 6,304 volunteer man hours, divided between fires, drills, meetings, and other work hours.

Susan Mary Steenland of Belleplain is among those named to the President’s List at The Berkeley School of Garret Mountain for the past term. Daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Ted Steenland, Miss Steenland was named from the intensive secretarial program, which prepares students for responsible positions in the shortest possible time. Miss Steenland is a graduate of Middle Township High School.
