Lawmakers Praise 1984 Kean Budget

TRENTONAssemblymen Joseph Chinnici and Guy Muziani (R-Cape May, Cumberland Counties) maintain that Governor Thomas Kean’s 1985 budget addresses the needs of the citizens of New Jersey from all walks of life. The budget's highlighted by the lack of request for any new taxes, they said It continues the four-ye£r_ phase out of the Corporate Net Worth tax, which hurt small businesses, and it begins the phase out of the Transfer Inheritance Tax', they said. The budget provides the largest increase in school aid since the enactment of the Public School Education Act of 1975, the legislators pointed out. Governor Kean proposes to create a $900 million fund for transportation projects and systems, which will provide over $3 billion over the next four years The money will be used to fund a list of priority projects in ForYoung Playwrights NORTH BRUNSWICK - Original scripts by tennage playwrights are sought by the New Jersey Young Playwrights Festival, sponsored by the state Teen Arts Program in cooperation with the Dramatists Guild. Scripts for completed plays of no more than 20 minutes performance time should be submitted by March 1. Plays selected for the festival must be produced (cast with teenagers, rehearsed and ready for performance on May 3 0) by the playwright's school or other appropriate organization.
