CAPE MAY - The city swim team is seeking girls 15-18 interested in swimming. In its meet against Atlantic County, the team lost by 32 points, but had conceded 27 points to the opponents because of forfeits in that girls’ age bracket. CAPE MAY - The resurgent C-View team earned a tough victory in a defensive struggle as it downed Keltie News 2-0. The game was scoreless after two periods will Bill Axelson of C-View fired in a goal at the 5:45 mark of the third period. C-View’s Kurt Hughes added a goal of his own as be scored four minutes later to lead his team to a 2-0 victory. The Cape May Volunteer Fire Company team pulled off a mild upset as it downed league paver Dellas Stores 3-2. After a scoreless first period. Johu "Shaky” Waltei put Dellas on the board as be fired a goal in from the right side to give his team 1-0 lead. The Firemen tied things up in the third period as SUg Blomkvest scored two minutes into the period. Blomkvest scored again a minute and eight seconds lata* to vault his team ahead 2-1. Mike Wing got the winning goal for the Fire Company as be scored his first goal of the season at the 7:09 mark. Walters scored again for Dellas with 1:48 remaining, but the Firemen stiffened their defense and held on for the

victory.

OCEAN CITY - A 40-hour captain's license preparation course for local boatowners and operators who want to carry passengers for hire will be held by Houston Marine Training Services March X to April 3. The course, which will prepare individuals for the U.S. Coast Guard motorboat operator, inland operator or ocean operator license exams, will include material on rules of the road, navigation, seamanship and safety regulations. Classes will be held on week nights at Stephen DeCatur High School, Berlin. CLASSES WILL be taught by William Conklin of Houston Marine Training Services, a division of Houston Marine Consultants, Inc., of New Orleans. Conklin is a former carrier pilot for the ILS.
