_ Doris Word SEVEN MORE WEEKS — Contractor and Stone Harbor officials held an informal meeting last week to discuss how the town would feel about a delay in reopening the Great Channel Bridge into town. The idea sank and the bridge will reopen April 20. but borough officials reportedly indicated they might go for an Oct. 1 closing, instead of Oct. 15. for the second and last phase.

Legion Holds Flag Burning WILDWOOD - The Byron Pennington Croker Post 184, American Legion, commemorated this year’s Americanism Month with the 65th Annual Flag burning ceremony last night. Cub Scout Pack 184 participated in this program to dispose honorably of unserviceable flags. The event took place at the post rooms, Roberts and Atlantic Avenues.
