Band new Cape MV A * t Chairman -SWAINTON — William F.X. Band, a county MUA commissioner since 1981, was elected chairman of the authority at its annual reorganization meeting Feb. 22. Band succeeds Charles B. Hathaway. Hathaway chose not to be considered for reelection as chairman. -When I was first elected two years ago, I made it clear that, in my opinion, the chairmanship should rotate and that 1 would accept it only on those conditions," Hathaway explained. Commissioner Roy Gillian was elected vice chairman; Hathaway,treasurer; and Jim Busha, corporate secretary. Band, a resident of Lower Township, is the former exectuive secretary of the Casino Control Commission. Most of 30-year career was spent\ith the FBI. the U S. Air Force and the U.S. Department of State as an investigator.'
