Spring Scries Set

SOMERS POINT - South Jersey Regional Theatre at the Gateway Playhouse is planning a senes of spring season productions to cap its 1983-84 season. •Beginning rehearsals next week will be the superb off-Broadway musical revue. ‘Starting Here. Starting Now" by Richard Maltby and David Shire This revue is billed as a love affair between music and its audience. " SJRT’s cast will be directed and choreographed by veteran New York director Howard Rossen with musical direction by Anita Stagliano. The musical will open SJRT’s spring season Wednesday. March 28. Jesse & the Bandit Queen" from playwright David Freeman will continue the series, opening at the nlayhouse April 25, This play traces the intertwined lives of Jesse James and thfe notorious woman outlaw. Belle Starr. Robert Moss, the founder and art is tic director of P aywrights Horizon theatre. New York, will be guest director for this production. Opting for a popular Broadway comedy to close the season. James Capolupo, band director of the Egg Harbor Township High School Silver Eagle Band, said thaty competition will involve bands from eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware in the area’s first jazz festival for high school performers.
