Our Lady Star of the Sea IGE < Individual Guided Education) School held a covered dish supper Tuesday, March 6. to celebrate its accreditation. It was one of the best-planned with an array of many, many covered dishes of delicious foods prepared by the mothers of the students attending Star of the Sea School Sister June Weldon, principal. ■ recently received personal notification from Rev. Thomas J. McIntyre, superintendent of schools for the diocese, that the school had been awarded full accret^tation. Fr. McIntyre congratulated the entire faculty for its "diligent effort toward the improvement of Our Lady Star of the Sea School through the Multi-Phase Evaluation and Planning Process.” This diocesan accreditation -for elementary schools, which is recognized and accepted by the Middle States Commission, encompasses a four to six year, process of on-going evaluation and planning for education excellence. The process includes diocesan .visitation to verify the school s compliance with diocesan religious and academic standards. An extensive self-study phase follows in which the school's faculty deterntines individual strengths' and needs in seven areas in-
