NIGHT MANAGER at the Texas Food Market in Cape May is Dottle Craw ford, who also doubles in the kitchen area making hoagies and all sorts of take-outs. Best of all, she’s smiling all the time, making you glad you came and wanting to go back soon. Mayor’s Advisory Committee Meeting in Cape May is always the last Tuesday evening' of each month, and usually there is an “outside” speaker. For March there’ll be Ephraim Keller, superintendent of Lower Cape May Regional High School. To be discussed at length will be the school budget. Chairperson Stephen Peckiconis keeps the program moving along and all members^participate. Mayor Arthur Blomkvest presides, always making notes and seeing to it that the committee’s requests get taken into consideration. This is a very productive group made up of a mixture of knowledgeable people with the main interest being to help their city. Tickets are available now for the very exciting program to be presented Tuesday, April 10. by the Lower Cape May Regional High School Band Parents and Boosters Association featuring Lanny Quid ley. concert pianist, a former student at Lower Regional. He’s been referred to as “The ‘Liberace’ of the Outer Banks...a throbbing player with much expression... too eloquent to ignore!" as expressed by The Charlotte Post. Walter Noona, maestro and conductor of The Virginia “Pops" Symphony, says. “An evening of music you’ll talk about. He plays with excitement, style^and stunning virtuosity!" Proceeds from this concert will benefit the Lower Cape May Regional High School Band. It is the first in an annual concc rt for the community. The band will be performing at the World’s Fair in New Orleans in June. After hun-

So far in this area merchants have contributed their time and services: Bob and Dee’s Florist, Atlas Motor Inn, Lobster House and the Washington Inn, thus far. The concert starts 8 p.m. in the school's auditorium.

Scholarship To McCann
SEA ISLE CITY — Thomas McCann, a veteran of the city beach patrol, who has served as its chief for the past six years, has received an academic scholarship from the University of Pennsylvania while studying for a doctorate in educational administration. McCann, 32, is a vice principal of Fairfield Intermediate School, Cumberland County. He is a 1976 graduate of Temple University, and received his Master’s degree in educational administration from Glass boro State College in 1982. For his rowing abilities, he received a scholarship to Temple University, and was crew captain his senior year. McCann is the city’s all-time rowing champion, with 12 titles. He and his wife, the former Geralynn Test of Vineland, are the parents of a daughter, Elizabeth Mary.
