Time Out : Dining Guide THE WEATHER outside the^ days may be spiteful...but it’ll soon be growing more delightful now that we're officially into springtime. The grass is getifng greener each day and before you know it, it’ll be mowing time. We’ll soon be seeing splashes of gorgeous color over the whole landscape and we're already observing plants pushing up through the ground and tiny buds on our bushes. Aren’t you? The first stages of house cleaning are getting under way. New spring clothes are beginning to appear, too. Shad are coming up now, and so are other migratory fish. Turtles and snakes are coming out of winter quarters, and birds are moving northward every day and night. Then, too, we are bidding “goodbye” just now to several birds which have spent the winter hereabouts. If we ever become a bird in our next life, our idea is to fly with the birds that come northward in the spring rather than those that like the colder climate. Anyhow, there’s a lot of humans who seem to prefer flying south in the winter, then return here in the springtime. They must get that from the birds. This is a good time of year to take a good, deep breath and smell the cool, crisp air that has been cleared by the March winds. We’ll be seeing more and more blossoms as the springtime advances. We also like to see the colorful restaurants and night spots locally, and especially recommend these attractive places: RAMMER’S—goodies from the ovens. Rammer’s at 2600 New York Avenue, Wildwood is a bakery from the old day’s when the sweet aromas o f fine baking filled the spring air. We like to stop by often and make selections from the large assortment of freshly baked goods. WINCHESTER'INN—reaper < tomorrow. The doors of the Winchester Inn Dining Room and Cocktail Lounge at 513 Lafayette Street, Cape May reopen tomorrow, always an eagerly awaited event in the olde city. Dinners will be served this week, on March 26 luncheons will also get underway. This olde time inn has been a ' fashionable stopping place for many years and its leisurely setting is a landmark for tasty food. You’ll find tempting seafood, Cape May specialties and exciting desserts. The service is always courteous. Southern Inn atmosphere. Call for reservations

DRAGON LADY—Chinese cuisine. Since the Dragon Lady Restaurant opened just last year, it has become a popular Cape May dining spo'. Located at No. 7 Victorian Plaza, (next to the Acme), it offers a huge menu that includes the finest in all types of Chinese food. Every attention is given to each order and your food arrives just the way you like it. The service is genuinely friendly and unobstrusive. We enjoy trying something different from the menu each time we go to Dragon Lady, and no matter what our selection, we are always exceedingly pleased. You will be too. THE GOLD WHALE—Movies & much more. The Gold Whale Restaurant and Ldunge located in the Marquis de Lafayette Inn on the Beach, between Ocean and Decatur in historic Cape May has always offered innovative features. Now The Gold Whale has added even more extras for dining and entertainment. Sunday through Thursday evenings, enjoy big screen movies and conceits following a gourmet dinner of your choosing. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, dance your heart away to the music of popular Skip Kehr. Stop by for the daily hot luncheon and dinner specials. URIE’S—special moments. Urie’s Reef and- Beef Restaurant at Rio Grande Ave., Wildwood lifts the spirits with more specialties than practically anywhere else. Of course, the name Urie’s has been identified with favorite seafood dining for many years, but at Urie’s Reef ^ and Beef there are additionally nurperous landlubber en- *■ trees. Traditional recipes as well as Urie’s specialties are prepared to your order in the special atmosphere of a seashore getaway. More choices than ever have been added to the famous menu
