Celebrity Auction

CAPE MAY - The Cape Educational Fund is holding its Second Annual Celebrity Auction Sunday. 2 to 5 p.m . April 8, at Convention Hall on the Boardwalk. Documented, personal items from famous actors, musicians, athletes and politicians will be auctioned. Items include: clothing, books, albums, photos, scripts, letters, posters, pens, tie bars and sports items. Sports fans can bid on a Philadelphia Eagles souvenir football autographed by the entire team, an official Dallas Cowboys pennant autographed by Tom Landry or an autographed bode by Pancho Gonzales.

Oficiano Pavarotti has donated a shirt that he wore during the making of the film, “Yes, Giorgio,” and a personal, autographed letter. Many other musical personalities in- . eluding Olivia NewtonJohn, Kenny Rogers, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Mathis and Billy Joel have donated personal items. Proceeds from the auction benefit the Cape Educational Fund, which is a nonprofit, community organization established to promote quality education in the schools of Cape May County. Tickets for the auction can be obtained from the Fund’s office at 465-7911 or at the door.
