Young vandals have been on a spring wreckage binge. The City Recreation Ctfnter, Fun Pier and boardwalk bench and phone installations have been severely damaged. Do you approve of boardwalk billboard and minigrandstand ads for gaming, tobacco and whiskey in a so-called family resort? Does it detract from our - image as the 'walk displays of drug paraphernalia used to do?

Neil’s banquet, one of the waitresses reassigned to the affair was the daughter of a City Hall official and was among those receiving a $100 tip. Dave Probinsky, my exboss on the old Independent Record newspaper, is much better after a bout with cancer. He brought Resorts International and gaming to A. C. He’s now in the Domjnican Republic. Three guesses, as to where the next Resorts casino may be? THREE EVENTS reported last week as on tap for the Wildwood Convention Hall actually are still being negotiated, according to its director, Anthony Catanoso. Those are the Miss New Jersey pageant, the Fuel Merchants Association, Aid Gloria Rothstein’s Antique Shows. LOTS OF GOOD news about beloved local folks home from the hospitals. Neil himself brought his brother. Dr. Norman Gordon, home after triple bypass heart surgery. He will soon resume office hours on Surf Avenue* Mrs. James Cafiero returned to a happy family after surgery in the Quaker City. She’s an ex-Miss New Jersey beauty queen in the Miss America Pageant. Center island businessmen a bit upset over plans to shift most conventions to the new North Wildwood arena under the aegis of Lou Lambert and a coterie of local business tycoons. Rumor hath everyone from the director to janitor resigning Convention Hall due to prolonged battles with new Parking Authority named by Council. Motel exec Joe Salerno is said to be the culprit. Mrs. Eleanor Hughes transferred from public relations bureaulo city hall leaving city P.R. department completely unstaffed, not even a director. Is prolonged delay of Council tn name City Administrator due to city financial troubles? Is it true summer cops cannot be named as city lacks police chief? WITHIN FOUR MONTHS. the Bob Scullys will have a trio of family weddings. In October, Lori Scully weds Jim Flynn. In Dec., Leahy real estate's Bob Scully Jr. weds Cindy Cash, a Sharon Hill

teacher. Oc Jan. 12, Linda Scully weds Alyn Ritchie in Boca Raton, Fla. As you know, dads foot the bill for daughter's weddings, so he’s lucky that he’s a busy contractor and co-owner of the Wharf Lounge & Two Mile Inn. With so many weddings, churches hope the Scully’s will be throwing grass seed instead of rice! Silver-haired Dave Snyder is home after an $11,000 plastic vein operation at the University of Pen n Hospital. Snyder, who loves to walk miles daily on the beach, had a blockage that stalled his hobby last season. He’ll soon be back in action as the coast’s most famous doorman at the Oasis Club where girls of all ages line up fin* hugs, kisses and ID. checks — he’s % a sort of seaside Richard Dawson. Steve Russo set to reopen his Giorgio’s Restaurant, a poplar Rio Grhnde Ave. Italian risWante and carry-out service... ANOTHER WILDWOOD High grad makes good. Lovely Brooke Walker is a Purser for Pan Am Airways and a top TV commercial star. Brooke is featured in such commercials as Datsun, American Dairy Association and Kitchen Maid. Her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Walker, is a toll taker on the Cape May bridge summertimes. Her late father, Dr. Milton Walker was very active in the Wildwood Golf Club, among other activities. Brooke is married to a theatrical agent and joins the select Wildwood coterie of TV blurbs stars who earn from $1,000 to $15,000 for a couple days work. The others are Jack Hallett, Becky York, John Henry Kurtz, and David Dannehl. Dannehl and York are not natives, but visit here as often as possible. York and Lesley Ann Warren are in a tug of war for the lead in the flick, “4 Chores Line.” York, a close friend of Mrs. Grover Bradshaw (Lori Cesar) led 383 dancers onstage for the Broadway anniversary of “A Chorus Line.” Dannehl, who dines often at Neil's, is the God child of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Jurvic, of Town Bank. He also has relatives in the Crest. He had the second lead in “Evita” and ‘‘Man of LaMancha” and has been in Chicago and Detroit wrapping up new TV commercials.
