Chamber Warns on Map Ads

are members and entitled to vote on all matters, of concern .tq the corporation. Any citizen is welcome to attend to learn more about United Way. Four trips will be awarded at the annual meeting. One each will be awarded to the contributor of the largest corporate donation and the largest individual donation. Two other trips will be awarded by a drawing. The eligible contestants are all corporate donations over $200 and all individual donations over $20.

The trips have been arranged with the United Way by Wildwood Travel, sponsoring the Freeport Fling. and R-Way Travel and Tours in conjunction with Apple Tours Bahamas Package. Reports presented at the meeting will be from the treasurer, the campaign vice president, the allocations vice president, and the nominating committee. The Nominating. Committee will present a slate of •officers and recommendations for appointments to the board of directors.

COURT HOUSE - Ted Roman, president of the County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Cape May County businesses have reported being Solicited by out of area companies for advertising on county maps. Most of these solicitations for ads are by phone and are not sponsored by or f endorsed by the county : chamber. The chamber currently has a contract j with Directions Marketing Company, Inc. to publish a pin-point street map of Cape May County.

The advertising sales fife the chamber of commerce sponsored map are being conducted by mail and personal contact by sales representatives of Directions Marketing Company who have identification from the county chamber. No other company is authorized to use the chamber's name for map advertising sales, said Roman. Business owners being solicited are urged to check w ith the chamber office being signing or buying advertising if unsure of whom they are dealing

with; concluded Roman. The chamber phone number, is 465-7181 it can be reached Monday-Friday from 9 am to 4:30 pm.

Rummage Sale NORTH WILDWOOD - A rummage sale will be held by St. Simeon’s by the Sea Episcopal Church.'25th and Central Avenues, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, and Wednesday, April 4, and 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, April 5.
