P&sters On Water Safety
■CAPE MAY — The city Beach patrol Benevolent Association has announced its second annual poster contest to commemorate • Beach Safety Week”. Area 4th. 5th and 6th graders wfll be asked to depict what they see as beach and water safety. The pupils and their teachers will receive a list of safety hints compiled by the beach patrol. The list will be used as the bas$ for class discussions while the students prepare their entries ENTRIES MUST be completed by May 18 Winners will be selected by a special committee. All posters will be displayed at Beach Patrol Headquarters during Beach Safety Week. June 2-10. Prizes of a $100 U.S. Savings Bond for first, $50 savings bond for second, and a $15 savings account for third will be awarded, said Richard Col os i. association president. Buzz Mogck. Beach Patrol captain, said that the idea for a beach safety w eek grew out of a concern that local residents need to be as well-versed as possible in beach and' water safety.

CAPE MAY - The skateboarding and roller skating programs conducted by the city at Convention Hall will be concluded Friday and Saturday, respectively. Skateboarding had been conducted Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Academy Has Good Season ERMA — South Jersey Christian Academy compiled a successful basketball season, with the girls' team winning all its contests and the boys dropping only one game in its series with Greentree Christian Academy. High scorers for the boys were Charles Taylor and John Fries, and for the girls, Rachael Tuel and Lisa Herman.
