Catacomb Setting Maundy Thursday

WILDWOOD CREST - Catacomb Worship on Maundy Thursday, Community Good Friday, and Easter sunrise services highlight the week at First United Methodist Church, 6700 Atlantic Ave. During the first century Christians met secretly in small groups, many times in the burial caves, called

Easter sunrise service will be held at 6 a.m. on the beach at the foot of Fern

Old Brick Holy Week COLD SPRING - Holy Week services are set for Cold Spring Presbyterian Church (Old Brick), 780 Seashore Rd. Maundy Thursday will be observed with the Sacrament of Holy Communion and the reception of new members at 7:30 P.M. The pastor, the Rev. Fred C. Bischoff, will give a meditation entitled "Agony before Easter". Community Good Friday ^ sjervice will be held at Tabernacle Methodist Church in Erma 1 — 3 p.m., ' and Pastor Bischoff will speak on the third word from the cross. An Easter Egg Hunt will be held on the grounds of Price Hall 10:30 a.m. Saturday for children in the nursery, beginners, and primary classes of the Sunday School. An Easter Sunrise Service will be held in Old Brick at 6:30 a.m. when Pastor Bischoff will speak on "The Easter Faith". Following the service will be an Easter breakfast in Price Hall prepared by the Men's 25€lub. Old Brick will be adorned with lilies and a wooden cross fashioned from the Chrismon tree. At the 11 a,m. Festival Service will be brass instrumental music and special music by the choir, and the pastor will preach on "Easter — Joy or Judgment?" Sunday School classes will be held Easter Sunday at 9:30 in Price Hall. y4t Sunrise COURT HOUSE - Arbutus Lodge 70, F. and A.M., will bold its annual Easter Sunrise service 6 a.m. Sunday at the County Park on Rte. 9. Coffee and doughnuts will be served. Holy Trinity Easter Rites ^ STONE HARBOR — Special services have been planned during Holy Week at St. Mary's Episcopal Church. The Holy Eucharist will be celebrated 7:30 this evening, and again at 7:30 p.m. Maundy Thursday, followed by the stripping of the altar. The liturgy- of the day will begin at noon Good Friday.
