Dimes Walkathon Sat.
WILDWOOD- Five hundred are expected to participate as The March of Dimes holds its annual walkathon for Cape May County on Sunday. Walkers will leave together at 9 a.m. from the Information Bureau on the Wildwood Boardwalk at Schellenger Ave. They are asked to arrive beginning
at 8 a.m. so tjiey can be registered. Adults and students are invited to take part in the walk whioi is 30 kilometers or approximately 17 miles. Adults may walk individually or as a team. Anyv adults who wish to _ walkNas a team with their * co-workers or members of their organization may do so. Teamwalk is an int e g r a I part of WalkAmerica and many businesses encourage it because it promotes a sense of comraderic among the employees.* Teamwalkers usually wear a Tshirt or cap with the name of the group of business on it. Money raised for the March of Dimes goes to help in the fight against birth defects through research, medical services, and public health education. Wellness Class Starts May 4 CREST HAVEN - The county Health Department and the Seventh Day Adventists will present two wellness seminars May 4 - 6. One seminar will be called "Healing Grief" and will be presented by David White, M.A. The second will be on weight control and will be conducted by Mary White. R.D They will be held at the Health Department, starting May v 4 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a $10. donation for the weight control seminar payable to the Seventh day adventists. Weekly Historic Tours Set CAPE MAY - Trolley, walking and house museum tours will be featured every- week in May in the nation's oldest seashore resort. The Mid-
Altantic Center for the Arts (MAC) will sponsor: Trolley tours of the National Landmark District are one-half-hour long and begin at the Information Booth on the Washington Street Mall, at Ocean Street In May, MAC will offer -two distinct trolley tours: The Historic East End Tour will run approx imalely every 45 minutes Saturdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. and on Wednesdays 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m; The Historic West End Tour will run approximately every 45 minutes Sundays 11 a.m to 1:15 p.m. WALKING TOURS of the i National Landmark l _ District will leave every Sunday at 10 a.m., are 14 hours long, and begin at the Information Booth at the Head of the Washington Street Mall. Tours of the Emlen Physick Estate feature the Stick Style mansion, at 1048 Washington St., designed by the famous Philadelphia architect, Frank Fumess, and built in 1881. It contains a meticulously restored Victorian House Museum. Physick Estate Tours will run every 45 minutes Saturdays 11:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Sundays 11:30a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Wednesdays 12:30 to 2:45 p.m.
