AVALON — The Recrea- . tion Department has announced a series of special events for the 1984 summer season. Dave Haberle recreation director, noted that a new tennis handbook with fees, regulations and general information will be printed before the start of the t^hnis season in June. The events planned to date, not including the various tennis tournaments, are: May 26 : Antique Show — Bayberry Twiggs, Community Hall; May 28: Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony — ends at 21st Street Circle — Dune Drive; June 12: Garden Club Flower Show — Community Hall; June 21; Blood Bank — Community Hall; June 30: Halloween Parade — Community Hall, 10 a.m.
July 4: Swimming Races I — Windrift Motel, 10 a.m.; I Field Races - 10th Street I and Dune Drive, 2- p.m.; I July 7 : Catamaran Regatta I — 40th Street and Beach, 1 1 Jj a.m.; July 14: Bike Race — E 8th Street and Dune Drive.
