Prepare For Memorial Day

WILDWOOD - The Wildwoods, known to thousands of vacationers across America as "The Family Sun and Fun Spot, U.S.A." will be bursting at the seams with new things to do and see and ^reat places to enjoy Memorial Day weekend. Everything on the Wildwood Boardwalk is being spruced up and many new amusements have been added. Each of the hundreds of motels located in The Wildwoods will have a welcome mat out for vacationers. Many of these motels are located directly on the beachfront with the glistening white sand as a backdrop for their inviting swimming pools. Beaches will be open and guarded for the Memorial Day Weekend. Dealers' List for Farmers TRENTON - New Jersey farmers planning to sell their farm products through commodity buyers this year can obtain an updated list of all licensed agricultural dealers in the state from the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, s "The listing provides the names of all persons and firms licensed to buy fruits and vegetables, eggs, live poultry, hay, grain and straw from New Jersey farmers in 1984," said state Secretary of Agriculture Arthur R. Brown Jr. ^ Under state law, any person or firm operating as a farm products buyer in New Jersey without a license can be fined up to $3,000 a day. STATE LAW also requires licensed dealers to file a bond, letter of credit or depository agreement with the agriculture • department to cover nonpayment claims. The law is designed to protect farmers if the licensed dealer fails to pay for any farm products. "Farmers should obtain a copy of the listing to know if they are doing business with a licensed dealer or agent," Brown said. Coldrejn Renamed CAPE V|AY - City Manager Frfd Coldren has been reappointed chairman of the 1.5-member national citizens advisory committee to the federal 'Urban Mass Transportation Administration (UNTA), U.S. Department of Transportation. Coldren was reappointed as chairman of the "Section 15 Reporting System Advisory Committee", by Ralph L. Stanley, UNTA administrator. Selected as chairman by then Administrator Arthur E. Teele Jr., Coldren had offered his resignation to permit the new administrator to make his own choice. Coldren announced that he vwill accept the reappointment and chair the committee's quarterly meeting in Oakland, Cal., May 2-2. 1 I

It was decided to promote "Vest Cape May through the printing of an advertising brochure with locator map. All members having paid annual dues will be entitled to a free ad. It was also agreed to donate a scholarship to a graduating business major at Lower Cape May Regional High School, commencing wiUfthe Class of 1984.
