cliURT HOUSE - Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital has initiated a newijfcervice for the deaf of Capft May County. The hospijtal is establishing a direit phone line so that deafwndividuals may reach Conipct Atlantic volunteers in Atlantic County without paying toll charges. Contacts Atlantic, a non-profit emergency answering service is a partner in the effoft. The new line is expected to encourage maximum usage of a system that allows the deaf to communicate regarding emergency, personal or business problems by using . teletypewriters in their : homes, Messages are transmitted via telephone lines to the answering service, where they are relayed by professionally trained volunteers. Joseph Richter and Kathy Parkin of Millville, has been assigned to Keesler Air Fjjrce Base, Miss., after completing Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
