Beach Visit Is Special

With a little help from friends in Cape May and Wildwood. fifty teenagers and young adults from St. John of God Community Services in Westville Grove, are going to the beach Under the direction of Brother William O'Connor and Brother Finnian Gallagher, the mentally retarded students are spending the first weekend of June at the shore. The Cape May trip helps to normalize the students experience within the community and builds their selfconfidence. Since the school is non-residential, the trip also gives the parents the opportunity to make their own plans for a weekend get-away. HIGHLIGHTS of the trip merit a mention of the friends who are making

this trip a success. Peter John, the manager of The Sand Castle Motel has gone ail out to welcome the - children On Friday night. June 1, the Knights of Columbus in North Wildwood are hosting a group dinner for the young adults. The St. John of God parish in North Cape May is sponsoring a dinner and social Saturday evening, which is being hosted by the Youth Group and Altar and Rosary Society in that parish Activities on the last day include a sightseeing cruise and a walking tour of historic Cape May and the mall shops As the students tour the Cape Mayarea. they plan to wear Tshirts printed with "Where's The Beach?" as their traveling theme.
