Show Ring Dedicated

COLD SPRING - At the 25th Anniversary South Jersey Quarter Horse Gir cui# held at Hidden Valley Ranch, April 24-28. the Hid den Valley Riding C'lub

dedicated the new 250 by 150 foot shovf ring, the new show ring lights and a new flagpole to the memory of the late Louis R Dickinson, pioneer quarter horse breeder and owner of Hid den Valley Ranch Dickinson, with his wife Mary Ellen, originated the Quarter Horse Circuit and the shows are for the benefit of the Louis R Dickinson Scholarship Fund A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded this year by the riding club Mrs Dickinson was escorted to the ring for the dedication by her daughter Linda Cook, her husband Michael and grandchildren Michele, Rachel and Rebecca She was gi\T?h a bouquet of red roses and thanked for her continuing help and interest in promoting the quarter horse industry and the South Jersey Quarter Horse Circuit

Potter Dumps The Mug

CAPE MAY - In the on ly game played last Tues day evening the Mug took on the Potter in Coed Power Volleyball activity In the first game the Mug maintained a one point lead until the Potter's Bill Abadie struck for five points on serve to give his team a 14-10 lead The Mug never recovered and the Potter won the game 15-10 The Potter took a big 13-4 lead in game two and then held off a rally by the Mug to secure its second win I 15-10 The Potter ran away with game three 15-0 behind the fine spikes of Teri Taylor.
