Builders, Sonat Top Playoffs CAPE MAY - In the first match of the semifinal round of the championship playoffs first place J T. Builders took on the foupth place Shire Team. Trie first game was close until J.T.'s John Thomas found a weak spot in the Shire defense and took full advantage of it to give his team a commanding 14-6 lead with pinpoint serving. Some nice hustle by the Shire's Bill Glaser and Jean Lloyd was to no avail as J.T.'s won 15-6. J.T.'s looked impressive in the early going of game two as it took a 7^0 lead. The Shire's Lynn IVfassimiano turned things around with her serving as she staked her team to a 12-7 lead. J.T.'s then regained service and the nice sets by Linda Thomas to spiker Rich Simpson helped narrow the Shire's lead to 12-11. The game was give and take from that to be the difference as J.T.'s won the game 17-15 and the match 2 to 0 to move on to the final round. SONAT OFFSHORE Drilling and Buck's Electrofiers met in the second match of the semi-final round In the first game Buck's took the early lead but couldn t hold it as the excellent court coverage of Sonat s John Frdnklin arid Paul King stiffled Buck's offense.
