Wine-Tasting Fete Benefits Theater
CAPE MAY - The public is invited to attend a g&la wine-tasting party Friday 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Carney's. 401 Beach Ave Proceeds from the admission charge will go toward supporting the Mid-Atlatic Stage, the summer repertory theater sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC), in conjunction with the Mason Gross School of the. Arts of Rutgers University^ There will be a wide selection of wines available, ranging from classic French vintages to the specialties of California and Washington State. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., representatives from the various wine companies will lecture on the origins and qualities of the wines being offered. IN ADDITION to donating the facilities and wine. Carney's will also provide hot and cold hors d'oevres throughout , the evening. The Mid-Atlantic Stage, after last year's successful season, is planning another summer of exciting professional theater on the outdoor stage at the Emlen Physick ^Estate, 1048 Washington St. • Appearing in repertory throughout July and August will be Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap (opening July 5) : the world premiere of What's In A
Name (a musical set in Shakespeare's England, that opens on July 12), and an evening of three one-act plays by Thornton Wilder: Infancy, The Happy Journey To Trenton and Camden, and The Long Christmas Dinner (opens July 26). From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the wine-tasting party, the author and composer of What's In A Name are scheduled to appear and play songs from their show. ^ <# '64 Reunion NORTH WILDWOOD - The Wildwood Catholic High School Class of 1964 is planning its 20th reunion to be held in October.
