j It's one of the most eye- [ catching brochures, that of the Atlas Motor Inn in Cape May right on the beach. Cover shows the sand with ! sea-shells, starfish, conch; you just want to pick it up and look inside. All in color everything is so well described, and rooms with balconies are so inviting. Harry Salt, owner, does all possible to make one's stay the best available. Gwen Fritz, his assistant, makes sure .alf is atI tractive from a woman's I point of view, and the end result is delightful. Restaurant maitre' is Joe Catanoso, with many dishes with an Italian flair^ — No doubt, it's one of the best places in Cape May. - American Legion Headquarters on Congress Street played Ijost to eight Cape May County units honoring Memorial Day celebrations. County Chaplain is Sylvia Coleman of West Cape May. She was hostess to over 50 ladies representing the various units. Reverend Robert O. Davis sang the Battle Hymn of the Republic 25 only he can perform. Refreshments followed, then all joined in the closing prayers. Gold Star Mother honored was Mrs. Pearl Sapp. Junion Representative from Unit 513 was Kelly Ann Becica. Each Unit representative read some poetry and white carnations were put in a vasvJF representing deceased members of each unit. Mrs. Coleman ... expresses her thanks for all who helped make the event the success it was. PERHAPS A little late for Mother's Day. but sure- i ly, one of the most i courageous and loving mothers is Mrs Irene Minnix, of Cape May. Her determined come-back from her recent illness is an example to all It surely isn't "easy, but where there's spark, there's Irene and she'll make it. (Son. "Corn Pudding", made with 24 ounces corn niblets, three eggs, lightly whipped. 1 pint half and half, and 1/2 stick butter, cut into small pieces. Combine ingredients and season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour nrtolwtWred 2-quart casserofe and dot top with butter. Bake for 30 minutes in 350 degree over. Test by inserting a knife in the center of the pudding. It's done when knife comes out clean. Serves 6.
