The graduation will include students from all specialities and areas of « study and will be held at • the Career Center in the Crest Haven Complex at 8 tonight. Middle Township High School will graduate bet-
ween 165 ;nd 175 tomorrow night. The * Baccalaureat Ceremony was held last Sunday evening at the Avalon Community Hall. The graduation will beiield at Memorial Field at 8. Advanced tickets will be required. % ■Due to etfam scheduling
and results, the exact number of graduates is not known at this time, but the students will be named tomorrow along with the valedictorian and students graduating with selected honors. Middle Township Board of Health will hold a meeting next Thursday, June 21, at 8>p.m. Any new agenda should be presented by midday the Tuesday before the Municipal Offices where ) the meeting will be held. AREA SCHOOLS are trying to hang on these last few days but it hasn't been easy, according to the students, especially with the heat wave we've fceen having. So, in order to cheer them up, I; tried to find out what they planned to do with the long glorious summer ahead ,thaC4ies waiting for their youthJbK exploration. Several high school boys intend to be lifeguards and work on the boardwalk. Surprised? / A few girls have some children lined up to babysit. Some are working in their parents' campgrounds and summer businesses. One teenager confessed to wanting to be a "bum" this summer. \ When I asked him fohat he intended to do for money, he replied that he would ask his girl friend to help him out. My, how times have changed! Then he said someday he would acquire a large house to live in but still continue his undetermined mode of living. But perhaps youth is not wasted on the young after all. Some enterprising students plan to sharpen their Atari skills, go su~fing and shoo-bee hunting, eat lots of pizza and other various projects suited for a long hot day's journey into the cool of eventide. THE ELEMENTARY students don't seem too worried about jobs or beachbumming and their summer interests range from bicycling, going to
Great Adventure, and . fishing to the more sedentary and perhaps cerebral sports of Pac-man and reading. It is difficult to discern a percentage involvement in these last two activities without surveying each and
every student in the elementary schools. On the one hand, reading doesn't cost a quarter a page, but on *the other hand, after a full year of pencils and books we can probably expect more quarters to shimmy down the slots of video machines than the subtle curling of a pagbe about to be turned. i Whatever your pleasure, kids, be careful and enjoy your fun, 'cause before you know it the summer's done!
