Medical Records Week
COURT HOUSE - Medical Records Week was observed at Burdelte TomHn Memorial Hospital after its proclamation by Gov. Thomas Kean During the observance, a wallet sized card for recording persona! health history was distributed to pptients at the hospital. The card, developed by the Medical Records Association of New Jersey, is designed to provide helpful information when a patient visits a new physician or experiences a medical emergency. According to Catherine D'Imperio. department head. Medical Records at Burdette Tomlin are involved in various technical and administrative aspects of the field. They are responsible for collecting, processing, storing and retrieving health care data.

Course Set On Rape Prevention CAPE MAY - The city will include a course in Rape Prevention in its upcoming Summer Recreation Schedule, which i § slated to begin June 18 The course will begin on Tuesday. June 19 and will meet each Tuesday and Thursday 7 to 8 p.m. at the Franklin Street Civic Center through Aug. 2. The course will be for women 17 years or older and senior citizens are welcome. The course will include lectures and demonstrations and will stress the use of good judgment and situation avoidance. The instruction will be provided by Frank Ramirez, who is a second degree black belt in Chinese Goju and is affiliated with the U.S. Coast Guard Registration for this course and all other Summer Recreation courses will be held at Convention Hall starting on June II through June 15. 1984 from 8:30 a m to 4:30 p.m For further information contact the Department of Civic Affairs at 884-8411. ext 20 or 27
Volunteers Honored WESTVILLE GROVE St John of God's Com munity Services held Volunteer Day recently to thank the school's 300 volunteers for their dedication and service to the men tally retarded According to Jean Wonsetler. the school's volunteer coordinator, the volunteers work a* teacher's aides, workshop aides, help in the restaurant, and lend a hand with the Special Olympics program at the Camden County institution St John of God Com ' munity Services hosted a luncheon which followed a morning worship to bless the friends of exceptional j children Plaques were awarded to community agencies in recognition of their help, and the Vocational Rehabilitation Program presented homemade corsages and boutonnieres to its volunteers
