Cottman Awarded Harvard Fellowship
WILDWOOD - William G Cottman Sr.. executive director of the Wildwood Housing Authority, has been selected for a fellowship at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. University. Cottman was picked from several applicants as the first recipient of the Walter Schaffauser Memorial Fellowship into the Program for Senior Ex ecutives in State and Local Government. The New Jersey Association of Housing and Redevelopment Authorities will fund the $4,300 three-week program in July and refresher week in the fall. The Wildwood Housing Authority* will cover travel costs. The fellowship offers the recipient the opportunity to prepare for increased responsibilities, to learn new management ideas and ^techniques, and to develop relationships among people doing similar work. . The award is dedicated to the memory of Schaffauser. a former member
of the executive board of the association. Cottman has been the authority. executive director since November 1970 and serves on the executive board of the association aswell as chairing its insurance committee A lifelong Wildwood resident. he is married to the former Barbara Blanks of Whitesboro They are tfye parents of two sons, recent college graduates.
