Scholastic Awards by i CG Wives Highlighting the final meeting of the 83-84 season of the u.s. Coast Guard Officers' Wives Club was the bestowing of scholastic awards. This award is given for scholastic excellence and achievement, extracurricular activities, community and church participation. Recipients must have been accepted for further education and be the son or daughter of a Coast Guard family. I Mrs. Judy Pritchard. | chairman of the education ' committee, presented three $500.00 cash awards. \ All three recipients are graduating from Lower Cape May Regional High School. THEY ARE: Anthony Franco, who plans to attend Keystone Junior College in Northeastern Pennsylvania and study Food Service Management. He hopes to follow up with a four-year " course in a different institution. Michael Kuzma will attend LaFayette College in Easton. Penna. He will major in biology and hopes to have a career in the medical or biological sciences. Gleasy Volantq will attend Moravian College in Bethlehem. Peiina and hopes to have a career in programming and or accounting.

WILDiWOOD - The Wildwood. Kiwanis Chib a warded\its annual scholarships at the regular^ meeting June\12 at the Mariner Inn. Recipients of the $1,000 scholarships were: Maria T. baning of Wildwood Catholic High School and Triaci Ann Young of WildwWl High School. V Maria is the dauglifgr of - " Thomas and Josephine Daning of North Wildwood. Ms. Daning was graduated in the top 10 percent of her class and was named to the Honor Roll all four years She was also a member of the National Honor Society and the French Honor Society. Included among her many activities were: Student Council, cheerleading and prom committee She plans to attend the University of Arizona to study management TRACI ANN is the daughter of John and Bar-
bara Young of Wildwood Crest. Ms Young was graduated in the top 5 percent of her class and was ^ "named to the Honor Roll all foMf years. She was also a mhmber of the National Honor Society and named tp "Who's Who in American High School Students." y Included among Ms ^Young's activities were: varsity letter in cross country. The awardingNof annual scholarships is one of several community service projects undertaken by the Wildwood Kiwanis for this past year.
