An Idea that Flies At Ocean Academy
COURT HOUSE - The modeling club which produced model aircraft and ships at Ocean Academy was a real "Dutch" treat for students this year. Mentor for the club was Dudley (Dutch) Dwager of Cape May Point, a retired Philco Corporation field engineer. Dwager took his idea to Judy Gollatz, Ocean Academy principal, and volunteered his Friday
afternoons to teach model club students. Its was accepted enthusiastically. "Model Club was fun," saYd Mike Stansbury, "because nobody does models with me and we got to keep them . " "It was great," said Brian Smith. "I hope we get to do it next year." Dwager's friendly personality and patient manner created an atmosphere in which every problem had a solution and frustrations were minimal. Crafts produced by the club and labeled by Dwager were displayed in the school 's glass showcase.
