Raffa GOP Choice For Leader

SEA ISLE CITY - Mayor Dominic C. Raffa has been elected Republican Organization city leader by the members of the local GOP executive committee. \ Raffa will represent the city at the county level with leaders of all the 16 municipal party leaders. He was elected after the Regular GOP sl&ted defeated a ticket headed by outgoing Sheriff Recch N. Fox in the primary election. Fox was beaten by Ocean City's Jim Piousis to represent the organization in the November general election. VICTORIOUS GOP candidates for county committee posts in the City were: First District — Bill and Cheryl Kehner ; Second District — Wish Zurawski ; Third District — Bobbi Boeshe Adamczyk and A1 Lignelle. The five met Sunday to select Raffa to represent them on the county GOP organization. Opposing him were Helen Haffart, Second District, and Wilson Ellis and Mary Roan, Fourth District, who ran on the Beech Fox ticket. Losers in the local fight were Jack Gibson and Trish Gallagher in the First District; Helen Champman in the Second District; Claude Town and Donna, Boyer in the third District and Bob and Becky Tavlor in the Fourth

District. CHAPMAN AND the Taylors were representing the organization slate, while the others were with Beech Fox Kehner and Lignelle are former commissioners here. Zurawski is newly

elected president of the Greater Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Boeshe-Adamozyk is a realtor with Sofroney Reltors Gibson was once the county engineer apd Town was a commissioner
