Fishing Improves As Water Warms

COURT HOUSE - Warming water has improved the quality of fishing on the Jersey Cape Delaware Bay has been producing" good fluke catches with some weakfish and bluefish mixed in. Ocean Anglers are enjoying good wreck fishing far sea bass, blackfish and ling. Bluefish trolling and night chumming both have been producing good numbers as well as big fish for boats saijing out of ports from Ocean City south to Cape May. Offshore shark fishing has also started with blue sharks, dusky sharks and makos being reported. One wjute shark was also weighted into the 1984 Cape May County Fishing . Tournament WEAKFISH LEADERS

J out of South Jersey Marina. He was using mackerel bait. Also caught on the Sea Mist was a 248 *)b. Mako shark which took mackerel bait for Ray Bello of Philadelphia. The Sea Mist action was at the 20 fathom line. Anglers are reminded to enter their fish into the 49th annual Cape May County Fishing Tournament, which continues through Dec. 31. Summer Hoop Signups Set CAPE MAY — The city is seeking youngsters between 10 and 15 to play in its Youth Summer Basketball League. The games will be held Tuesdays and Thursday at 5 p.m. and the league starting date will be determined after enough children to field at least four teams are signed.
