STONE HARBOR - The I Recreation Department I will be holding its annual I tennis tournaments The I junior tournament will be [ held the week of July 16 at 1 to 4 p.m. Play will be for girls and boys between the ages of 8 and 12 and 13 to 16. « The adult tournaments will be played on weekends with an entry fee of $5 per event. Tennis balls will be supplied by the recreation department. Playing times for all events will be ijr-the late morning and lat^fTternoon depending oifweather conditions. • r Starting dates for the^ M adult tournaments are as I follows: Men's Singles.
Saturday, July 7; Women's 1 Singles. Saturday. July 14; Sr. Men's Doubles Satur day. July 21; Men's Doubles, Saturday, July 28; Mixed Doubles. Saturday, Aug 4; Women's Doubles, Saturday, Aug 11. On hand will be George Aithen, co-owner of the Main Line Lacrosse camp Little League Tryouts Held STONE HARBOR - Lions Club Little League tryouts began June 24 for children 8-13 years old Tryouts were conducted weekdays at 9 a.m. until the start of the season • Monday. < Thereafter tryouts will ! take place every Monday, ! Leukemia Benefits VOORHEES - The Southern New Jersey Chapter of the Leukemia Society of America is sponsoring super swim classics throughout South Jersey during July and August The swim-a-thons are open all ages and each participant will receive a painter's cap. Other prizes include: Tshirts. muscle sweat shirts, personal stereos, TV's and home computers, all deter mined by the amount of mqney raised. /Proceeds from the super Swim classics will enable the leukemia society to continue to support researchers seeking the cause and cure for this dread disease, and will help the New JerseyChapter financially assist than 300 patients.
