Steel, deputy commissioner, New Jersey Department of Insurance, will be the guest speaker at the meeting July 19 of the County Chamber of Commerce board of directors. The luncheon meeting will be held at the Golden Inn, 78th and Dune Drive, Avalon, at Noon. Chamber members and guests are invited to attend. Luncheon reservations must be made in advance by calling the chamber office at 465-7181. STEEL WAS appointed deputy insurance commissioner in June, 1982, by Governor Thomas Kean. The deputy commissioner is a licensed insurance agent and broker and brought to the department more than a quarter century of experience in the Insurance industry. Steel attended Upsala College and was employed by the Motor Club of America Insurance Company before founding^the Steel Insurance Agency in Wayne in 1958. He has served as chairman of the Wayne Township Insurance Committee, Wayne Board of Education Insurance Committee and the Passaic County Insurance Advisory Committee
