Field, Swim Races Held by Rec Dept.
AVALON — The Windrift Motel opened its pool to the Avalon Recreation Department's annual swim races. Kids from 4 to 15 were there to compete in the bright morning sun, while parents and grandparents gathered around to cheer them on. Later in the afternoon hundreds of kids crowded the 10th Street

In accomplishing this effort on a day to day basis, the Coast Guard 'depends heavily upon candid, honest communiclffion and cooperation bet ween its inspectors and merchant vessel officers and crews.
