— ; "v— so ni'fty we made out an immediate application to join. We were invited to meet Commodore-James N. Hudanieh for cocktails the next day. We passed muster with the Commodore at least and he extended us visiting privileges until the board of trustees next meets and our membership is voted upon. It both flatters and amuse£ us that our readers credit us with having so much more knowledge than we possess, but we often fail them Several weeks ago we got a phone call asking where to purchase black and white film We didn't have the fog giest. Since then, however, we, have found that Sullivan's Dept. Store, 2170 2nd Ave., Avalon, carries it among other stores Hope this helps our caller The Stone Harbor Women s Civic Club anti que show held at the S.H School last week was over whelmingly successful Weather was a factor because it was cool and stimulating. Way over a thousand people attended and Chairwomen Toddy Kelton and Mary Conwell had carefully culled 25 discriminating dealers including six new ones This show is a decided added at traction to the community each summer. Twenty-five contenders, most accompanied by friends, make it their vacation week. Local restaurateurs confirm the fact that business booms during this particular week.
