th£ Jersey Shore barrier islands, the Eastern Shores of Maryland and Virginia and Cape§ Hatteras and Looko if i in North Cajoji-riap' promises Buckiey. A GRADUATE of Colum bia. he earned his doctorate a Cornell in vertebrate zoology, with a if>66 dissertation on birds. After teaching at universities in Virginia and NewYork, he joined the National Park Service in 1972 "I happened to be studying the terns at Cape Hat teras National Seashore when the Park Service lured me away from a teaching post,'' says Buckley, whose wife Francine is a sea bird biologist. The husband-wife team have worked together for the past 18 years. They are both natives of the Bronx, .VY.. and now live in Bernardsville. "We are delighted to be closer to my field sites and in a recognized center for coastal studies." says - who looks forward to his show Saturday. L For further information.
