A HOME HEALTH aide who works under the supervision of the registered nurse may come into the home to help with the personal care of the patient if the physician's written orders indicate the patient's need for personal care services. The specific personal care services to be provided by the home health aide must be determined by the nurse. Personal care duties which may be performed by a home health aide include assistance in the activities of daily living: helping the patient to fv bathe, to get in and out of bed, to care for his hair and teeth, to exercise and make medications specifically ordered by a physician which are ordinarily self-

administered. If you don't have an insurance plan that covers the cost of home health services and your doctor believes that you should have this service, the fee can be adjusted to meet your individual financial needs. Our Health Department's Home Health Agency will be happy to help you receive this service. If you questions about the financial arrangement, please ask. No one is ever permitted to go without needed medical care, due to inability to pay. We know how important staying in your own home can be. We want to do every-thing we can to make possible. Boro Joins Gifted, Talented Program

and skills as fast as they can go." COURSES ARE offered on Saturday when the consortium is in session. The fall semester starts Sept. 29. Students enrolled in the Avalon School District who attend are charged an $85 registration fee by the consortium for a 12-week session. Registrations received by Aug. 15 will benefit in a $10 savings. Eligibility criteria are maintained for admission into the program. Students in Grades K-10 must maintain the following criteria : (1) 95 percentile on norm referenced test, either composite, math og reading (2) Intelligence quotient of 125 on either a group or individual IQ test (not required in grades K, 1, 2) (3) Student interest to participate (4) written recommendations by teachers and principal Bonner stated,, "The Avalon board chose to participate in this program to provide parents an option in providing for the needs of their gifted children and also to provide these parents with the benefit of a lower tuition rate by district membership in the consortium.
