Treasure Hunt Set Aug. 12
CAPE MAY1 - The adventurous Captain Davey Kidd has set sail for "Historic' Cape May in hopes of arriving Sunday. Aug 12. for the 21st Annual Cape May Captain Kidd Treasure Hunt, to be held on the beaches of the resort All youngsters 10 years old and under are invited to rendezvous with Captain Kidd promptly at 1 p.m. in front of Convention Hall on the 12th. From Convention hall all youngsters will follow Captain Kidd to the buried treasure site, where approximately $100 worth of I booty and certificates for i two brand new bicycles valued at over $200 will be discovered by some lucky treasure seekers Based upon the increasing popularity of the event, city officials anticipate that over 500 boys and girls will participate this year. It is indeed a sight when Captain Kidd leads his band of young followers on a halfmile journey along the beachfront promenade in search of the elusive treasure.
