Rev. Poppell Back At Conference

CAPE MAY POINT - The Rev. William Halbing of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Rahway, will be ministering at the Sea Grove Conference, Union Chapel on the Circle, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 2. Father Halbing is a graduate of Seton Hall University and Immaculate Conception Seminary. He has been teaching a junior high course in "basics of Christianity" adult Bible study groups and also has worked among the His panics of northern New Jersey.

August 3 through 5 the Rev. Carlos Ochoa, a former video editor for CBS News in New York,

will be presenting his unique ministry of preaching, teaching and healing. DURING THIS second week of the conference the Rev. Joe Poppell continues his faith messages and his ministry of Christian healing. This is his fourth summer to be at the conference and many local people have been touched by Christ through his ministry. He will appear each evening through Sunday. The Sea Grove Conference is a part of the Renewal Movement at work in most denominations today. The movement emphasis is on the Lord-

Missionary Speakers at Tabernacle

ERMA — Janet , Morris will be the special guest speaker at Tabernacle United Methodist Church this evening She is a missionary currently serving with the Wycliffe Bible Translators in Dallas, Tex. She will be going to Peru with them in the fall. She will be bringing an update as well as showing a film of the work done by Wycliffe. Service begins at 7 p.m. Rev. Dr. John Merwin will speak at both the morning and evening services this Sunday. He is a missionary with the Oriental Missionary Society (OMS ) serving in Korea.

'Background For Study'

WILDWOOD - Rev. Dawn N. Mays will preach at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday Worship Services at the First Baptist Church. The sermon is entitled "Background for Your Study: M$rk" Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. A nursery is provided for Sunday School and for the 11 a.m. Worship Service. There is also a Junior Church. First Baptist Slates Film

'• WHITESBORO - Showing of the film feature "God's Prison Gang" has been scheduled for Saturday, July 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the First 'Baptist Church, West Main Street. Mechanical problems last Saturday caused the film, an account of notorious criminals who became Christians, to be rescheduled.

Mission Aide Will Speak

RIO GRANDE - The Rev. Roy Brill, west coast deputation secretary for the Africa Inland Mission, will be guest speaker at both the 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday services in Grace Gospel Chapel, 29 S. Shore Rd. Sunday School ie at 9:45 a.m. with classes for all ages. Prayer meeting is 7 p.m. Wednesday. The Word of Life Club (Grades 7-12) meets 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Choir, Drama Groups Forms SEA ISLE CITY - Children 3 through 15 are invited to participate in a choir and drama group offered by Messiah Lutheran Church. 42nd and Landis Avenues The group will meet each Wednesday morning. 10-11, through August. The director of the program is Laurie Mclntyre, a music major at West Chester State College and summer resident of Avalon. Plans are underway for participants to perform in various places.

On 'Doing God's Will' COLD SPRING - "Doing God's Will Reluctantly" is the sermon to be preached Sunday at the 11 a.m. service by the pastor, the Rev. Fred C. Bischoff, in the Co 1x1 Spring Presbyterian Church (Old Brick), 780 Seashore Road.
