Mews Notes from The Cape Mays \ Dolly Stango
It's so wonderful it just has to be told. For one year plans were in the making to tpt to install new wall lights and chandeliers with fans in St. Agnes Church at Cape May Point. This is the quaint little church so loved by all, especially Cape May Pointers. Through the generosity of several families the mission was accomplished. Now all you have to do is stop in and see the little church sporting new lights and fans. The donations were made in the names of the deceased members of the following: the families of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Rollo; the Denoboske and
Palatini families; the Monge family; the Vieth and Shira families; and the Konard and McGlory families.. And if this wasn't enough, due to some difficulty in finding someone r to do the electrical work, i through the kind concern and generosity of Barney Rollo and his wife, the R. and J. Contractors were engaged to do the work. One thing is for sure, this little, church is made up of j lots of awfully big love of parishoners at the Point for their very own church. v * ESPECIALLY FOR children! That's what the Physick Estate Tours are geared to every Tuesday morning at 9 to go through the Physick house at 1048 Washington St. This is sort of "big person's" tour scaled down to accommodate children 6 through 12. Guides tell it all. explaining everything for children to understand. Surely a lovely treat for a child's birthday or even for visiting friends. And if this isn't enough, there are the "Children's Trolley Tours" in the openair carriage every Thursday at 9 a.m. from the rear corner of Congress Hall, Congress Place at Perry Street. It's surely a good way to introduce your house guests to Cape May — seeing all the very important / buildings, getting a look at the Victorian homes, and perhaps they'll want to come back here when they, too, have their own
families. It's a treat no matter how you look at it. CITY OF Cape May will be sponsoring its 52nd Annual Baby Parade Friday. Judging will be in separate categories; Pretty Baby; Decorated Baby Carriage, Children Walking In Fancy Dress , Children Decorated on Wheels; and Mini Floats. A prize awaits eacb^ of the winners.
