SfONE HARBOR - A live barred owl, red-tailed hawk and a saw-whet owl will be the "birdlife stars under the large striped tent at the Wetlands Institute during the mammoth New Jersey Wings *n Water Festival this fall. They are among exhibitors to be displayed Sept. 15-16. Each bird is a damaged

animal from the Avalon Rehabilitation Center in Seaville. None of the three can be returned to the wild, due to circumstances of their handicaps. Dotty Hoffman, a' volunteer at the center, says her organization cared for some 350 ill or injured birds last year with the help of five volunteers. Gazebo Concerts / WILDWOOD CREST - ^ The borough Tourism Commissifn announces the "Hoffnagle Band" will play on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7-10 p.m. at the new Gazebo Park, Rambler Road and Ocean Avenue. The entertainment is free and the public is invited and asked to bring folding chains. The commission will endeavor to present other musical shows. Dates and appearances will be announced as soon as they become available.

IN ADDITION to the bird trio, a marine touch tank operated by institute staff will display several varieties of fish, crabs and other marine life under the tent. New Jersey Parks and Forests will celebrate "The Year of the Parks"; Stockton State College will offer education in the sciences; and the Jersey Cape shell Club will display outstanding shelf collections. Other exhibitors include the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, Cape Atlantic Soil Conservation District, the Pinelands Commission, N.J. Sea Grant, Atlantic Audubon, D u c'k s Unlimited, the Sierra Club.

N.J. Fish, Game and Wildlife, Burdette Tomlin Auxiliary, N.J. Raptor Association, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and'' the N.J. Waterf lowers ' The New Jersey Wings n Water Festival, which will celebrate the natural attractions in nine localities throughout Cape May and Cumberland Counties, is a benefit for the Wetlands Institute.
