Loan Program Gets 'Prime Bank'

The Hefti a-nd Mavromates appointments were made by Freeholder Director Anthony T. Catannso and are slated to be approved by the board of Freeholders on Aug. 14 They replace James Billmeyer and Leon Cheesman. OtheY board members are Dorothy G. Mack, chairperson; G. Although the commission decided in June not to meet in July or August, Childs said this week that anj August meeting is likely to consider some applications for the fishing loan program. The county has a halfmillion dollar grant from the federally-funded Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program. Participants, generally limited to loans no greater than $50,000, are supposed to provide jobs for low- and moderate-income persons and come up with 50 cents of private investment for every dollar loaned.

Villds; Winnie May Lennox of Cape May ; and David John Mayer, Wildwood Crest. The recruits trained at the Camden Police Training Academy and were graduated July 5 after an 11 week program. Kelly won the Physical Fitness Award and Lennox the Director's Award at the academy
