Area Job Survey
The U.S. Bureau of the Census will conduct a survey on employment and unemployment in the area this week, according to James F. Holmes, director of the Bureau's Regional Office in Philadelphia This will be the first month that data for this ongoing survey will be col- ■ lected in this area ® Households in this area are part of the sample of 71,000 across the country , scientifically selected to "j represent a cross section of all U.S. households J THE MONTHLY survey . is conducted for the U S , Department of Labor and I provides the official government statistics of V employment and f unemployment. The June survey indicated that of the 113.9 ' million men and women in L the civilian labor force.
