Avalon School Bus Schedules Detailed
AVALON - The Avalon Elementary School will begin session 9 a.m., Wednesday, Sept 5. Children should not arrive at school before 8:45. The entrance bell will ring at 8:55 a.m. Dismissal will be at 3:20 p.m. A handbook will be sent home the first day of school listing school procedures ELEMENTARY School bus routes will remain substantially the same as last year, transporting all Kindergarten children and children in grades 1-8 living north of 20th Street, but including the 21st Street area west of the waterway, and those living south of 37th Street. Middle Township High School routes will also be substantially the same. At this time, it is anticipated that a 5 o'clock bus sendee v will again be provided. x -n
Sair ' Joseph's School in Sea b e City bus route will remain basically the same as las' year. Wildwood Catholic High Schoo1 route will remain basically the same as last year, nut will also include Stone Harbor children ELTMENTARY ROUTE 1A, serves 1-8 children living north of 20th Street, but induc ing those children living west of Ocean Drive in the 21st Street area, and Kindergarten children south to 32nd Street. The bus leaves the school at 8:?5 and returns to the schoo at 8:50. The bus will travel north on First Avenue from 32nd to 28th; west on 28th-to Dune Drive ; north on Dunk to 25th; east on 25th to Avakon Avenue; north on Avajpn to 23rd west on 23ta to First Avenue; north on First to x 21st; west on71» to Dune;
south on Dune to 25th; west on 25th to Ocean Drive; north on Ocean Drive to 21st ; west on 21st to 7th; turn around and proceed east on 20th to Avalon Avenue; north on Avalon to 8th; west on 8th to Ocean Drive and to 7th Street; turn around and proceed to Dune Drive via 7th Street; south on Dune Drive to the school. Elementary Route 2A serves 1-8 children living south of 37th Street, and Kindergarten children living south of 32nd Street. The first pickup is at 78th and Ocean Drive at 8:25 and the bus arrives at school at 8:50. The bus will travel north on Ocean Drive to 78th Street ; west on 78th to Sunset Drive; north^-on Sunset to Ocean Drive; north of Ocean Drive to 42nd Street ; west on 42nd to
Pelican; down Pelican to Flamingo Drive; turn around and return to Ocean Drive; north on Ocean Drive to 37th Street; east on 37th Street to Dune Drive ; north on Dune Drive to the school. KINDERGARTEN Route to school at ? Van 1, takes all Kindergarten children to the Stone Harbor Elementary School from Avalon Elementary School. Kindergarten route from school at 12 takes Kindergarten children home. Children living in the south end of the Boro will be discharged first. All children should be home by 12:30. Efforts are made to drop Kindergarten children off in front of their homes or at the nearest intersection. [ High School Route ll serves High Schoajl students attending Middle who live in the south end of the Island. The first pickup is at 80th and Ocean Drive at 7:20 and the bus travels on Ocean Drive to 42nd Street; west on 42nd to Pelican; down Pelican and turn around and return to Ocean Drive; and travels north to 30th Street; then west on General Bell Causeway to the Parkway and from there to the High School. HIGH SCHOOL Route 2, serves High School students attending Middle who live in the north end of the Island. The bus leaves the elementary school at 7 20 and travels to the inlet section via Ocean Drive with a side trip w#l on 21st Street to 6th Avenue and returns to [30th Street via First Avenue and Dune Drive and travels to the Parkwav via the General Bell Causeway All High School students return home on this Bus at 2:30. Parochial elementary school route serves all Saint Joseph's Elementary school pupils livingrdn ^ Avalon. The first pifkup will be at the south end of Ocean Drive in Avalon at 8.
